DAY ONE PIG CARE

Developed especially for sow farms, Day One Pig Care is a training program that helps caregivers learn how to prepare sows for a successful litter, assist with farrowing, care for newborns, identify at-risk piglets, prevent chilling, optimize colostrum intake and cross-foster. These practices can help reduce pre-weaning mortality rates1 and enhance communication between caregivers and managers.

INDIVIDUAL PIG CARE

Individual Pig Care training can help caregivers learn how to identify signs of illness sooner. Individual Pig Care begins with focusing and looking closely at the ears, snout, posture and attitude of each pig. By observing each and every pig every day, sick pigs can be spotted sooner, medicine can be used more effectively, recoveries can be quicker and more pigs are likely to reach their full market potential.2

PigWise

Tracking herd health in real time using PigWise provides insights that can help veterinarians and production managers stay ahead of disease outbreaks. Swine veterinarians, production managers and pig caregivers can share real-time herd health data within their own networks using the PigWise barn management tool. Pig caregivers can use the PigWise mobile app to enter health data as it is observed. The information is uploaded onto the dashboard and can alert veterinarians or managers to any potential issue.
